¾ cup butter or margarine

1 cup firmly packed brown sugar

4 eggs, room temperature

1 cup dark corn syrup

¼ cup butter or margarine, melted

1/8 teaspoon salt

1 ¼ cups chopped pecans

Combine flour and 1/3 cup brown sugar. Cut in ¾ cup butter with pastry blender until compound resembles coarse meal. Press compound evenly into a greased 13x9x2 inch pan. Baked at 350 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes.

Combine 1 cup brown sugar and remaining ingredients except the pecans, beating well. Stir in pecans. Pour filling over prepared crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes or until firm. Let cool, then cut into bars. Yield 15 to 20 bars. Enjoy!
