It's time to change that! It's also time to change the way we make biscuits. We no longer have the time to get out the rolling pin and cover the kitchen in flour. But luckily, there is a quick and easy way to go homemade without the homemade time and mess.

Assemble a mixing bowl and mixing spoon, 2-cup measuring cup, set of measuring spoons, and a baking sheet. You will also need a 2 ½-inch metal scoop - the type that has a cope you squeeze to eject the food. Put the following ingredients nearby: buttermilk, vegetable oil, all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Turn on the oven to 425 degrees. Pour 1 cup of buttermilk into the glass measuring cup. Add sufficient oil to bring the total volume to the 1 ½ cup mark. Put 2 cups of flour into the bowl. Add 2 ½ tsp. Of baking powder, 1 tsp. Of sugar, 1 tsp. Of salt, and a scant 1/8 teaspoon of baking soda. Here's the private of good biscuits - stir to blend, but don't over-stir. Be sure to scrape the sides so you don't end up with pockets of flour. Fill the scoop, scrape the edge to level the contents, and eject the dough onto the baking sheet. (If you do not have a scoop, you can drop the batter from a spoon.) Bake the biscuits until they are brown on the top and lowest - about 15 minutes. Brush the tops with butter.

Ingredients

1. 1 x 3/4 kg of Snapper whole

2. 1 Cup of freshly chopped Parsley

3. 2 Tspn Apricot & Date Chutney

4. Juice from half a lemon

5. 4 Tspn of Macadamia Oil

6. Salt & Pepper to taste

7. Aluminum foil for wrapping

Method

1. Ask the fishmonger to scale and clean the fish for you but keep it whole instead of fillet it. Make sure it is wiped dry using paper towels.

2. Make diagonal slice cut over the mid-section of the fish but do not cut through the bones and seasoned the whole fish with salt and pepper.

3. In other bowl, mix the chopped parsley, macadamia oil, apricot & date chutney and lemon juice together, add a bit more salt and pepper.

4. Spoon some of this compound into the stomach of the fish and rub the rest throughout the fish. Wrap the fish using the foil and let it stand in a cool place for 30 minutes.

5. When your barbecue stove is ready, place the wrapped fish on the center of the stove. Let it cooked on one side for 5 minutes and turn it over (once only) for other 5 minutes. Note that depending on the thickness, you might need to vary this cooking time a bit.

6. Once it is cooked, unwrapped the foil but be right of the steam in the wrapping, replacement it to the serving dish and serve hot. Make sure you replacement all the juice in the wrapping to the serving dish as well.

2 c flour
1/2 c milk
1/2 t cinnamon, ground
3 T butter

1 c dark seedless raisins

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a large bowl, mix 1/2 c sugar (you'll use the other 1/4 cup later) flour, and baking powder. Cut in butter to the mixture. In an additional one bowl, join vanilla, eggs and milk. Add combination plus the raisins to the first bowl and mix until slightly moistened. Drop by soup spoonfuls onto greased baking pan. Mix the remaining sugar with the cinnamon and sprinkle on the buns. Put buns in oven and bake for 18 to 23 minutes, or until buns are golden brown.

What you need:

1 lb lump crab meat
2 large eggs, beaten
1 T orange juice
1/2 cup saltine crackers, crumbled
1/4 c butter
2 t onion, minced
1 T celery, chopped fine
1/8 t salt
1/8 t pepper

In a medium bowl, blend together orange juice, eggs, onion, celery, salt and pepper. Add crab and crackers and mix. Melt butter in a large skillet. Form 4 patties from crab combination and place in skillet. Cook over medium heat for 10 -12 minutes, or until golden browned on both sides. Serve with lemon and/or Louisiana style hot sauce.

Italian Style Baked Cod

What you need:

1 lb cod fillets
14.5 oz can Italian style stewed tomatoes, diced and undrained
1/4 c lemon juice
2 t dried parsley

What you do:

Place cod fillets in a casserole dish. join all other ingredients and pour over cod. Bake uncovered in a 400 degree preheated oven for 15-20 minutes. Serve with rice.

1 cup butter

2 eggs beaten

1 tsp baking soda

4 cups flour

½ cup corn oil

Cream the sugars and butter together. Mix the beaten eggs, vanilla and corn oil, in. Add the dry ingredients .Mix all the ingredients well and chill overnight.
Bake at 375 F for 8-10 minutes....Do Not Overcook.
